Qualifications:Analytics and Technology Solutions (ATS) drives data and technology strategy for Alumni Relations and Development (ARD). ATS provides systems, tools, analytics, and reporting that support ARD’s engagement, participation, and fundraising goals. In partnership with the client stakeholders, we seek to understand business needs and deliver transformative technology solutions. The ATS team is currently working on a Salesforce CRM implementation project. Description This is a contractor position that will start as soon as possible. This position can be either on-site or remote. Regular business hours are between 8-5pm central time. This role reports to the Director of QA and will be responsible for assisting the QA team with testing associated with a complex and customized Salesforce CRM implementation project. The qualified candidate must have broad and deep hands-on experience ensuring that QA proceeds efficiently and effectively in a complex, multi-faceted project environment. Industry experience in higher education, alumni relations, or other not-for-profit fundraising would be a benefit.Responsibilities:The successful candidate will: Conduct software testing, document defects/issues uncovered to assure full understanding and an ability to reproduce the issue, and escalate issues to relevant colleagues. Manage multiple issues simultaneously. Work within a collaborative team environment to support test case creation, execution, and defect tracking. Test the vendor base solution for the implementation effort. Test within assigned areas of responsibility (e.g. data migration, business process, integration, etc.). Analyze user stories/requirements and provide feedback on testability. Mock-up data in preparation of testing. Manage/update/maintain requirements, use cases, test cases, traceability matrix, and regression test results, using a variety of tools including Salesforce Agile Accelerator. • Conduct migration testing to verify data integrity, functional, and non-functional aspects of the application. • Support users by reproducing and investigating issues identified in UAT and production. Respond to users with workarounds until a permanent solution can be implemented. Document system defects in appropriate systems such as Agile Accelerator and track to closure. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance testing of software applications including analyzing and understanding business and technical requirements, building positive/negative test data. Strong analytical skills and technical expertise – you will collaborate with business and technical teams to perform deep dive analysis of any identified issues found during testing. Proven work experience in software quality assurance. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting. Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus. Outstanding attention to detail. Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and often changing environment. Previous experience and knowledge of Ellucian Advance and Salesforce a plus. Prior experience working in the field of higher-ed Advancement for alumni relations and fundraising is a plus. Ability to work on complex issues with a strong sense of ownership and urgency. History of delivering high quality results and meeting the needs of stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
