Description Acts as primary liaison between the Information Technology department and business units. Manages automated/manual system definition, design and implementation. Develops, drafts, and executes comprehensive system test plans-conditions, and scripts as needed. Analyzes, evaluates system problems, and makes recommendations for automated solutions. Gathers and documents business requirements for medium to large projects. Authors and publishes comprehensive written documentation for project development. Translates requirements into business, functional and use case documents for medium to large IT projects. Maintains business systems standards by applying project management methods, tools and processes as standard practice. Analyzes and evaluates use/system requirements to ensure system modifications are in compliance with Federal and State guidelines. Creates and delivers related user documentation and end-user training as needed. Makes oral and written presentations on automated system changes. Provides technical support to users and trains and guides other business analysts. Supports the organization’s key business processes and applications. Skills Required General knowledge of methodologies and techniques for systems analysis and design, business process modeling, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and software development. Strong customer service skills is a must. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Problem solving, applies diverse procedures in differing situations; research within area of expertise is required. Has a demonstrated ability to balance, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks. Has a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations. Has a demonstrated ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly. Has a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization. Requires analytical skills to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, consolidate details and extract to functional requirements. Has a demonstrated ability to effectively translate user requirements into business, functional and test scenarios for projects of various sizes and complexity. Has a demonstrated ability to develop and write technical documentation. Skills Preferred Experience Required Must have 5+ years of Business Analysis experience with medium to large projects.
