Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.Detects and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements. Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis. Contributes to project as a team member. Work goals typically take 13 month to complete and results are seen immediately or within 12 months

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering.
8-10 years’ experience in quality / manufacturing / vendor development functions.
Ability to manage multiple qualifications and work with global teams to approve/qualify suppliers and improve their performance.
Ability to understand and establish appropriate inspection/measurement system based on the geometry /tolerance and part profile.
Ability to understand drawings, dimensioning and geometrical tolerencing (GT)
Must have hands on experience in one or more of following fields

(1) Machining process, methods /techniques
(2) Strong knowledge about castings (investment, sand), forgings and fabrication processes / materials
(3) Ability to understand manufacturing process plan (MPP), interpreting process steps, suitable machines
(4) Understanding PFMEA and control plans.
(5) Experience in NDT techniques including RT, UT and LPI and knowledge about such testing machines

Strong EHS background, familiar with US Environmental, health, and safety law and regulations
Very Strong Result Oriented Mindset; and process improvement approach.
Exposure to ISO 14001 and OSHAS Standards will be added advantage
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
MUST: Highest Level of Integrity.
MUST: Willingness to travel for more than 50% of the time

Desired Characteristics:

Ability in reviewing documents and parts according to ASTM, PED, IEC, ASME, CE, CSA, UL other international standards & Regulatory Requirements.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily
Ability to guide and influence others (external suppliers as well as internal stakeholders)
Sourcing experience / prior Oil & Gas Industry experience.
Green Belt / Black Belt certified
Shaining apprentice / journeyman certification
International Experience.
Lead Auditor Certification ISO9001/2015 Negotiation capabilities

Travel within the US.
