Job
A Turboexpander Senior Test Technician plays a critical role in the development,
testing, and optimization of turboexpander systems. This position involves designing,
conducting, and analyzing tests on turboexpanders to ensure their performance,
efficiency, and reliability meet design specifications and industry standards.

Test Planning:

Collaborate with engineering teams to understand turboexpander design specifications and testing objectives.
Develop detailed test plans, including test procedures, schedules, and resource requirements.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations throughout the testing process.

Test Setup and Operation:

Set up and configure test rigs, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for turboexpander testing.
Operate turboexpander equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
Monitor test conditions and make real-time adjustments as necessary to maintain accurate and consistent data.
Perform final functional check for all electrical components of the Turboexpander skid.

Data Collection and Analysis:

Collect and record data from various sensors and instruments during turboexpander tests.
Analyze test results to assess performance parameters, such as efficiency, pressure ratios, and temperature profiles.
Identify deviations from expected performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare comprehensive test reports summarizing findings, including data analysis, observations, and recommendations.
Document test procedures, setup configurations, and any modifications made during testing.
Communicate results and findings to cross-functional teams and management.

Test Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Identify and address any equipment malfunctions or deficiencies promptly.
Coordinate with other engineering teams for more extensive equipment repairs or upgrades.

Continuous Improvement:

Collaborate with design engineers to implement design improvements based on test results and feedback.
Investigate new testing methods, technologies, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of turboexpander testing.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to turboexpander testing and compliance.

Highest Level of Education Required for this Position:

Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
HS diploma or GED will be considered with requisite proved experience (5+ years)

Qualifications (IE SAP Experience, Excel Knowledge, Any Certifications, Years of Experience in Certain Fields):

3-5 years experience conducting testing in a manufacturing desired
HAZWOPER or other OSHA certifications a strong plus
Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics
Forklift experience a plus
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting electronic equipment is a plus.
Mechanically oriented
Previous experience in turboexpander, or other relevant rotating equipment, testing
Proficiency in data acquisition systems and analysis software.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously


Note :

Est Hours Per Week: 40 plus overtime.
Work Schedule + Time Zone: 06:00-14:32.
Temp to Hire (Y/N)? Y.
Onsight.
PPE Requirements if any Steel toe shoes. The rest of the PPE will be provided.
Working Conditions (IE Office, Warehouse, Ect) Outside.
If heights, how high? Climbing a step ladder 20ft hiegh.
If driving, what will they be driving? Driving a Forklift.
If lifting how many pounds? Up to 50lbs.
