Job Description

QC Assistant Scientist

Detail oriented individual required for conducting the testing of Raw Materials and Finished Product for US Based Concentrate Manufacturing Plant managing microbiological testing.

Accountabilities: ·

Delivers accurate and timely results of all raw materials and semi-finished components so that dispositions can be made ensuring no down time to the Operations Team
· Conduct micro testing of raw materials and finished products
· Oversee site micro testing program, including: retrieving samples, plating, water testing, CIP validations and interpreting results
· Ability to analyze and interpret data, reporting results orally and in written documentation
· Maintains all records in accordance with client protocol
· Maintains the stock of all Micro Lab consumables
· Leading by example with a clear commitment to personal safety, process safety, and food safety
· Ability to analyze and process high volumes of information and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner, with precise attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and follow-through in problem-solving · Compliance with all GMP, OSHA and Plant Safety Policies.
· Responsible for maintaining and complying with all applicable client, and Local regulations and standards.
· Authority to immediately address safety/quality risks

Qualifications / Requirements:

· Experience working in a microbiology lab required
· Knowledgeable of media preparation & sterilization
· Demonstration of aseptic technique
· Skilled in both pour-plate and membrane filtration type testing
· Self-Motivated individual with strong Quality Systems experience
· BS in Microbiology, Chemistry or related field
· This is a first shift position, but the individual must be flexible to work different hours occasion
