Job Description

Description :

The AASHTOWare Project Senior Developer (EAS LCS) - Transportation - is a junior specialist level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in a specific technology.

The candidate will need to use their own equipment from home to remote into the worksite (PC set up in the organization).
This is technical and analytical work in designing, developing, implementing and supporting the client Project (AWP) .
This role works with business analysts and other technical staff to deliver required functionality for AWP Preconstruction and CRL modules to the client business customers in an agile environment.
It is expected that this position will be needed for the next year or two.
This is technical work with AWP and includes a wide range of activities related to implementation and support including system administration, report writing, automated testing, configuration and interface development.
This individual will work directly for the client Letting and Compliance Systems (LCS) manager.
Ability to work well in a Agile SCRUM team, decompose development work into backlog items that can be reliably estimated (1-2 weeks of work)

Skills :

Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of programming and analysis work and to work independently - Required - 5 Years
Knowledge of SQL, C#, .NET, python, powershell, command line and other standard languages used in web application development - Required - 2 Years
Knowledge of best practices in coding and security - Required - 2 Years
Experience working well with others in a SCRUM software development team following Agile - Required - 2 Years
Ability to clearly explain technical processes to team members - Required - 2 Years
Ability to review and translate business user specifications to configure COTS applications to produce desired results - Required - 2 Years
Ability to execute technical work using best practices, including GIT for source code maintenance - Required - 2 Years
Experience in working with state the client customers - Highly desired - 2 Years
Understand the client Project out of the box tools & processes - Highly desired - 2 Years
Ability to evaluate and analyze the client Project with requirements and make recommendations, based on technical expertise - Highly desired - 2 Years
Technical expertise in specific the client Project functions and the client business processes - Highly desired - 2 Years
Understanding of the the client Project data model and how to use the Interactive Data Model tool for development of solutions - Highly desired - 2 Years
Ability to recommend development of and demonstrate best use of appropriate testing protocols - Highly desired - 2 Years
Knowledge of automated testing to be used when performing application upgrades - Highly desired - 2 Years
The client Project (AWP) Active Reports Development (Grape City Tool) - Highly desired - 2 Years


Note :

It's expected that the Technical Specialist will be available 8 hours during standard business hours, 8AM - 6PM M-F local time.
