Description:Job summaryThe Analyst utilizes knowledge of finance, accounting and insurance strategies to provide business and financial advice to client's management team through various analysis functions. The position is responsible for preparing financial reports and analyses (including budgets and forecasts) for Insurance Services, Financial Planning & Analysis and Accounting and serves as liaison to assist with financial needs. The position provides regular support to other Finance-related functions, such as the month-end close process.Support FIRM in the preparation and delivery of monthly accounting close process 5%Evaluate data integrity and resolve discrepancies 5%Prepare data reconciliations evidencing SOX compliance 5%Produce assigned revenue forecasts and incorporate understanding of fluid carrier landscape and historical insights into forecast assumptions 5%Identify and incorporate renewal actions into models and forecasts 5%Maintain vendor relationships to assist with data interpretation and resolution to data integrity issues 5%Responsible for compiling analysis reports, presentations, and other material to provide a robust analysis explaining drivers of forecast variance 5%Assist in automation of repetitive data aggregation/manipulation tasks to enable greater focus on value-add analysis 5%Cross train on and document processes to foster team resiliency 5%Support management by completing ad hoc analysis and projects 5% RequiredPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standards Education Level RequiredBachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics Experience Typically 5+ years - Experience in accounting or finance - requiredTypically 1+ years - Public Accounting and/or Public company experience - preferred Licenses/CertificationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) - preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKSAsSolid working knowledge of GAAP, SEC / Quarterly filings, and Sarbanes-Oxley practices and conceptsSolid experience in SOX control execution/documentation preferredStrong analytical skills, exceptional organization and time management skills, with ability to work autonomouslyAbility to work independently and remotely with a team in a fast-paced and progressive environment with emphasis on policies and processDemonstrated skills in problem solving, applying analytical principles, documenting, researching issues, resolving problems, proving data analysis, and multi-taskingGood verbal, written communication, presentation and facilitation skillsAbility to communicate with employees at all levels of the organizationStrong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment lawsGood work ethic and high degree of accuracy and integrity in work productStrong desire to continuously learn, continuously improve and pursue open questions to a conclusionA demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplaceAbility to adapt to a fast paced constantly evolving business and work environment while managing multiple prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite Work Environment:Work in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office work setting.
