Position Description:
Books all or a broad kind of business operations to accounts.
Assigns business activities, receipts and bills to accounts.
Plans, opens and clears accounts. Performs general ledger accounting, A/P or A/R accounting.
Prepares statements of accounts, in line with defined accounting guidelines.
Supports evaluations of asset & liabilities.
Oversees bank accounts, and checks overdue, and past due account situations, may clarify discrepancies with customers or vendors, in first instance.
May check and oversee local petty cash accounts and monitors local cash expenditures.
Contributes to Balance sheet, P&L closing, and prepares respective reports and financial statements.
Supports responsible Finance Accounting Management in analyzing accounting data.
Clarifies upcoming questions as first point of contact.
Provides advice in use and interpretation of accounting data.

Key Responsibilities:
Vocationally trained positions that need both practical and theoretical understanding and some significant advanced vocational experience to perform broad range of varying tasks and issues, in related field of work. Work performed is still procedure based, however issues and problems arising needs accountable addressing and solution by incumbent. Broad scope of tasks and accountabilities within one functional area needs to be managed by senior experienced incumbent. Non-routine inquiries and issues occur regularly and need to be solved instantly, with a certain degree of authority and bindingness towards (internal and external) customers.
Experience:
Additional specialized qualification + 4 to 8 years exp. needed Knowledge: Has theoretical understanding and broader practical skills in the related field of work and needs to apply practical methods, concepts and techniques, work procedures and processes.

Hardware: Company issued laptop
Required: MS Excel and Outlook
Preferred (trainable; not to exclude): SAP, ERP, NextGen, IOL
Experience
4–8 years in an accounting environment (4 as firm minimum requirement)
Able to contribute to calls and problem solving while training others
Soft Skills
Clear communication; ability to explain work to varied audiences
Collaboration across teams (e.g., Lifecycle, Data Science)
Flexibility in tailoring communication to different stakeholders
Education
Minimum: High school diploma
Preferred: Degree or related coursework in accounting/bookkeeping; vocational training or college courses relevant to accounting/bookkeeping
