GENERAL FUNCTIONS:The AP Analyst has the role of collecting and analyzing POS, Franchise and retail data for analytical auditing and reporting for the client. This includes data extraction and analysis from multiple data sources within the Company as well as collaboration and communication with various departments.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaximize effectiveness and efficiency of current data sourcesPerform work on specific projects, including the identification, analysis, and communication of insightful perspectives and actionable recommendationsDevelop presentations, supporting materials, spreadsheets and modelsProvide data, maps, and analysis on stores, regions, and/or markets as requestedBuild strong relationships by collaborating with team members, manager, and business partners to insure that business and project goals are metProduce and present executive briefs for implementationConduct franchise audits to assess compliance with contractual obligations and financial reporting requirementsProactively provide periodic updates to management and the departmental leadership team regarding status of audits and other projects in processANALYTICAL:Generate and analyze exception reports utilizing current data sources to detect fraud and develop investigationsPerform risk assessments for franchise operations and recommend corrective actions to mitigate identified risksAnalyze financial statements and operational data from franchise locations to identify irregularities or performance gapsPredictive-based reporting research and analysisJOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or related fieldStrong analytical, auditing and data management skillsKnowledge of exception-based and predictive analyticsExhibit excellent verbal and written communications skillsWork independently and exercise sound judgmentThe Analyst will perform key functions around:Analyzing business reports used to identify fraud and abuse.Provide timely analysis on inventory shrink, investigations, audits, and training for leadership.Conduct franchise financial risk assessments and audits.Processing invoices and payments for the AP department.Tracking and reporting on budgets, restitution and shrink.Develop presentations, supporting materials, spreadsheets and models.
