Job Description:AutoCAD DesignerJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D AutoCAD blocks, redrawing existing blocks, and converting 3D Creo models into accurate 2D AutoCAD representations. This role requires strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and designers.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate AutoCAD 2D Blocks: Develop precise and standardized 2D blocks for various components and assemblies.Redraw AutoCAD Blocks: Update and refine existing AutoCAD blocks to meet current design standards and project requirements.Convert Creo 3D Models to 2D AutoCAD Blocks: Translate complex 3D Creo models into accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings while maintaining dimensional integrity.Ensure compliance with company drafting standards and industry best practices.Collaborate with engineers and project teams to interpret design specifications and incorporate feedback.Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.QualificationsProficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and familiarity with Creo software.Strong understanding of technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and drafting standards.Ability to interpret and convert 3D models into 2D representations accurately.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.[Preferred] Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field.[Preferred] Experience in mechanical or industrial design environments.SkillsAutoCAD expertise (2D drafting and block creation).Basic knowledge of Creo 3D modeling.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Time management and ability to meet deadlines. Notes:Normal working hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Time.On occasion may have a 7:30am start.Mostly remote (Mostly remote meaning contractor might be asked to come in occasionally to attend a meeting depending on their location.
