Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Business Analysis Consultant to join the Data Integration and Operations team within the Information Services Division at client. This role involves maintaining strong working relationships with client staff and various business units both within and outside the State.

This position is part of the Data Integration and Operations organization, which includes the Data Warehouse, Office of Data Analytics, Data Management and Oversight, Quality Assurance, and Medical Economics departments.
The role involves consistent collaboration with various client staff to document business processes and support the development of enterprise-level reports and tools.

Skills Required

Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Experience with software development life cycle processes.

Experience in coordinating and overseeing large, complex projects.
Familiarity with data warehouses, data analytics, data management, quality assurance, and medical economics is a plus.

Skills Preferred

Support the organization’s key business processes and applications, recommending business process redesign where applicable.
Develop Business Requirements Documents to support the creation of enterprise-level reports and tools.
Perform analysis, gather, and document project requirements, and ensure communication with all stakeholders.
Coordinate and provide project oversight for multiple large, complex projects, including new system development and updates to existing systems.
Ensure adherence to software development life cycle processes.
Maintain effective verbal and written project communication among all project personnel.
Handle sensitive data daily, ensuring proper data security oversight.
Collaborate with client staff to understand and document business processes.
Act as the primary liaison between the ISD department and multiple business units.
Maintain business systems standards by applying project management methods, tools, and processes.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with documented and approved policies, procedures, and best practices.
Attend and participate in project and non-project related meetings.
Provide input for process improvements to documented policies and procedures, task orders, and vendor contracts.

Experience Required

Experience with business requirement development for reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos.
Experience as an Analyst in the Health Insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare field is highly preferred.

Education Required

College Degree in IT, Business Management, or Healthcare Management or equivalent experience.
