This program will focus on identifying risk and measuring compliance of information security programs and systems across the client as well as providing reporting and monitoring information to both client leadership.The business analyst will be responsible for quality control and assurance for the deliverables associated with this program as well as documenting plans procedures, and progress of the program with the program manager.This program includes:Assessment of state-wide, shared or common services and security controls provided to clientAssessment of agency-owned services and security controls at each clientTracking progress and resolving issues with each assessmentDocumenting and presenting results from each assessment to the client leadershipTracking, documenting, and reporting assessment results at the client, sector, state, or other criterion level for the programGathering requirements and recommendations for program improvementDeveloping policy, plan, process and procedure documentation for the statewide information security programDaily duties / responsibilities:This implementation assistance would include, but is not limited to:Status reporting of operational support tasks and related work efforts.Identifying metrics and key performance indicators (kpis) of processes and their output.Create, manage and maintain policy, plan, process, procedure and other program documents such as process flows, standard operating procedures, desk manuals and procedural guidelines.Review, edit, and maintain documentation consistency and accuracy for documentation submitted by both staff and vendorsMonitor and support deadlines, milestones and activitiesApply change, risk and resource managementDocument all meetings attended, directives, and significant phone conversations.Develop and deliver professional technical program updates to the client leadership and supporting staff.Communicates with it leadership, business leadership and it business consultants to communicate program strategy, direction and changes.Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to project managersMust possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of microsoft office tools.Required skills (rank in order of importance):Excellent technical writing skills; technical writing experienceAbility to create effective and clear process flows and similar diagrams in powerpoint or visioPreferred skills (rank in order of importance):Simultaneously manage multiple reporting requirementsStrong schedule management and planning skillsSupport regulatory compliance projects5+ years of experience in technical writingExperience with technical sop documentation and graphic creation in visioRequired education/certifications:Bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree with 2 years of experienceSoft skills:Excellent problem-solving abilityExcellent team playerExcellent communication (written and verbal) skillsAbility to work at a high-volume and fast paceStrong collaborator and strong ability to meet deadlinesAbility to identify, map, and support business processesNotes:Remote - Onsite during projects or at regular monthly/ quarterly intervals.Candidate MUST be able to commute to the Columbia office as needed.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
