Business & Data Process Analyst

Role Overview

The On-Sites Business & Data Process Analyst will join the On-Sites Business Team on a contract basis to support daily business operations while driving practical data management and process improvement initiatives. This role provides direct support to the On-Sites Business Team across billing, pricing, and contract administration while supporting key projects to modernize data management.
The ideal candidate possesses advanced Excel skills alongside intermediate working knowledge of Power BI, database management systems (DBMS), SAP, and Google AI tools to streamline routine tasks, update operational reporting, and eliminate workflow redundancies.

Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-Day Operational Support
Financial & Pricing Analysis: Execute routine customer price adjustment calculations, maintain pricing formulas, perform account variance checks, and assist senior analysts with annual budgeting preparation.
Billing & Contract Administration: Provide day-to-day coverage for customer billing ($100M+ portfolio), assist with regular contract and billing audits to ensure invoice accuracy, and process contract updates in accordance with company policies.
Commercial Support: Produce standardized sales reports, track account metrics, and respond to routine customer or commercial inquiries from account managers.

2. Data Management & Process Improvement
AI & Workflow Efficiency: Identify opportunities to apply accessible AI and automation tools (e.g., Google AI tools, basic workflow scripts) to eliminate manual entry and streamline repetitive tasks in billing, pricing, and report generation.
Database & SAP Maintenance: Maintain, query, and update database management systems (DBMS) and SAP to ensure master data, customer account files, pricing formulas, and plant operational records are accurate and up to date.
Power BI & Reporting Support: Maintain, refresh, and update existing Power BI dashboards and Excel reporting models used to track account profitability, billing adjustments, and operational metrics.

Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Skills & Experience:
Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency required (complex formulas, Index/Match, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query; basic VBA is a plus).
Power BI: Intermediate experience (ability to refresh data connections, edit standard visuals, modify existing reports, and write basic DAX).
DBMS & SAP: Intermediate working knowledge of database structures, basic SQL queries, and experience navigating SAP for customer master data and pricing maintenance.
AI & Automation: Intermediate familiarity with AI productivity tools and willingness to explore practical applications for workflow optimization. Proficiency in using Gemini to accelerate reporting, summarize complex data, and automate routine analytical tasks.
Experience creating and managing automated workflows in Google Workspace Studio to connect tasks across Sheets, Gmail, and Chat.
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field. Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in business analysis, finance operations, or data management.

A proactive mindset for transitioning legacy manual processes into streamlined, automated workflows, and the ability to maintain documentation for newly implemented tools
Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize technical data and routine business reports for team members and managers.
Analytical mindset with a proactive drive to learn new tools and improve existing business processes.
Ability to collaborate and coordinate daily with the team to optimize progress toward efficiency milestones.
