Construction ManagerWorks with the Project Manager to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction project from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budgetOversees client’s construction site, general contractors to ensure a high level of quality and safety.Review and Approve Safe Work PermitsHold a Daily Safety Briefing, Coordinate site activities with Prime Contractor's Site SuperintendentEnsures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practicesEnsure quality workmanship and quality inspections are conducted. Retain and maintain a file of test and inspection reportsIdentify, mitigate, and track construction issuesAdhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirementsConduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable and that tools and equipment are in good working conditionMaintain and update SOW and construction documents, and meet contract obligations by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendorsAcquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequaciesPlan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be metRespond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptionsObtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities/client'sConduct Pre-Start up inspections and maintain Pre-Start-up ChecklistsReports the status of projects to ManagementDesired Skills and Qualification:Working knowledge of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Construction, including utilities (pipeline experience a plus)Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contractsKnowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods5+ years of industrial construction experience required. Oil and Gas experience is required.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for qualityGood oral and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Construction, including utilities (pipeline experience required)Education, Experience, Requirements:Construction Safety Practices and OSHA regulations (30 Hour OSHA Training)Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or related fieldNote :Est Hours Per Week: 40-50hrsWork Schedule + Time Zone: M-FOnsiteVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
