The client is seeking a Contact Development Representative (CDR) to support revenue development by discovering, validating, and enriching contact-level and buying group intelligence within target accounts. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality data capture, accurate persona validation, and strong alignment between Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Development teams.
The CDR plays a foundational role in creating sales-ready opportunities by identifying buying group members, maintaining data integrity in Salesforce, and supporting marketing programs and events with accurate contact and account intelligence.
This is an individual contributor role that partners closely with Revenue Development Representatives (RDRs), Marketing, and Sales Operations to drive measurable impact on pipeline quality and conversion.
What You’ll Do
Contact Discovery & Validation
Research, identify, and validate contact information to confirm roles, responsibilities, and relevance within defined buying groups.
Use contact databases, web research, and social media platforms to identify new prospects aligned to target personas.
Ensure all validated contacts are accurately logged, updated, and maintained in Salesforce.
Account & Buying Group Intelligence
Build, maintain, and update account maps and buying group structures for prioritized accounts.
Identify and validate target personas and decision-making roles involved in purchasing processes.
Provide regular (weekly) reporting on validated contacts, buying group coverage, and account insights.
Marketing & Event Support
Support marketing campaigns, programs, and events by driving contact discovery, registration support, and post-event follow-up readiness.
Assist in ensuring strong alignment between campaigns, accounts, contacts, and opportunities within the CRM.
Collaboration, Process & Reporting
Partner closely with Revenue Development Representatives (RDRs), Inside Sales, Marketing, and Marketing Operations to ensure smooth handoffs and data consistency.
Comply with defined service-level agreements (SLAs) related to demand management and contact development processes.
Track, manage, and report on discovery and validation activities using Salesforce and associated systems.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–3 years of experience in customer-facing, marketing, research, sales, or revenue development roles.
Strong research and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), contact databases, and social media research tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with curiosity, adaptability, and motivation to meet activity and quality targets.
Key Skills & Abilities
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities.
Proactive, investigative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Team-oriented, coachable, and eager to learn and grow.
Energy, discipline, and consistency to maintain high-volume, high-quality activity.
