Description:Position SummaryYou will:Administer vaccinations and injections including but not limited to influenza, COVID, and TB test placementsObtain vital signsProvide emergency care in collaboration with the provider on site in emergent situationsPerform patient registration, intake, and checkoutAssist with wait room management and other responsibilities such as patient reminder and other outreach calls, appointment scheduling, and chaperone for sensitive exams to enhance the patient experience.Prepare the clinic and waiting space for the best patient experienceRequired Qualifications:Previous experience administering immunizations and injections and providing evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting.Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record.Ability to take vital signsBasic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol is required.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room. Previous experience with EPIC Electronic Medical RecordLicensure/Certifications:The LPN/LVN must have a full, active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.Education:Graduate of a school of Practical or Vocational Nursing, approved by the State Agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing (Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.DutiesYou will:Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients. This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices.Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection servicesAdminister immunizations and injections (to include but not limited to COVID19, influenza, TB) and provides evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.Assess patients during intakeTake vital signsPerform diagnostic tests such as EKG, Retinopathy screeningPerform Point of care testing (including COVID testing)Perform patient registration and intake, assist with wait room management and other responsibilities to enhance the patient experience.Order equipment and prepare the clinic for the best patient experienceHelp meet our Mission to help people on their path to better health by providing excellent patient-focused connections and activitiesNotes:FT clinic hours, includes every other weekend.Onsite as neededThis is a full time contingent position, 32-40 hours per week including every other weekend, and may require floating to other nearby locations.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
