Description :JOB SUMMARYThis role performs a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures.JOB FUNCTIONSEssential FunctionsPerform computed tomography techniques and examinationsConducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretationOperate CT equipment and select technical factorsResponsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.Document all related data.Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.Other ResponsibilitiesIdentify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.Resolve and escalate complex issues.Orient and train fellow staff technologists.Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.Other shifts as assignedAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma / GED - RequiredTechnical Diploma - Radiology Program - RequiredWork ExperiencePediatric Experience - PreferredLicenses, Certifications, and RegistrationsComputed Tomography (CT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 12 months Required orComputed Tomography (CT) Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 12 months Required andCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex.
