CT Technologist

REQUIREMENTS for this role are:
• This role performs a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures.
• Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
• Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including biopsies, cardiac CT, and post-processing.
• Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation.
• Operate CT equipment and select technical factors and positioning / safety devices.
• Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
• Document all related data.
• Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.

Other Responsibilities:
• Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
• Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
• Resolve and escalate complex issues.
• Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
• 10 or more years’ experience and PEDs strongly preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of computed tomography imaging
• Intermediate knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
• Intermediate knowledge of radiology information systems
• Intermediate knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Basic proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong organizational skills
Certifications & Licenses:
Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

Required Education:
High School Diploma / GED
