Job Description


Summary:
Interviews customers and records interview information into computer for customer service by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
1. Processes orders via phone or paper purchase order.
2. Answers all incoming Customer Service calls and routes to the appropriate personnel.
3. Processes back orders.
4. Communicates consistently with customer on the status of orders.
5. Prepares custom paperwork for international shipments.
6. Invoices customer orders.
7. Tracks customer shipments.
8. Files orders in customer files.
9. Assists with customer mailings.
Other duties may be assigned.

High school diploma or GED, 1-2 years experience, yes flexible

Specific Skills Needed:
Reliable transportation (we do not have a bus route or near public transportation)
Previous Customer Service Experience
Experience taking orders via phone and email
Strong attention to detail
Strong critical thinking and problem solving
A customer first attitude

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Client Program and Microsoft Access.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Onsite
Work hours: Mon - Friday 8 am - 5pm (1 hour unpaid lunch and 2 - 10 minute paid breaks)
