Description:Diesel Technician/ Lot SupervisorThis type of work requires special skills and knowledge in repairing diesel trucks.Inspecting and going through a used truck in detail. Performing client inspections, changing fluids like oil and coolant, changing brakes.Programing and doing vehicle diagnostics.Test driving trucks so CDL is a mustComputer skills – Microsoft skills and the ability to plug into a truck and diagnose what the issue is with the truck.Environment – mostly office but will need someone to take care of the UTC lot, run parts to vendors, light mechanical work, and exercising trucks. Communicates if there are issues with the trucks and need additional mechanical work.The ideal candidate is a former truck technician that might be burnt out working on trucks all day long but still loves to drive them and work on them from time to time but also has the above customer service skill set and computer literacy. CDL is a must as this individual would be testing the trucks out and moving them around the lot as wellMust be able to lift up to 50LBS without issues. Part of this role will be replacing the batteries in the truck and they are very heavyReplacing Mud Flaps on the truck (hence the request for someone that has tooling/wrenching experience)Building relationships with vendors. Someone that has an outgoing personalityOrdering and tracking parts from start to finishMust have computer skills (Microsoft office).Additional comments - We need someone that has mechanical skills and a CDL license, that can move trucks to vendors and around the lot as needed.Need to see if you can find us someone that has some technical experience with heavy trucks, mechanically inclined, but also can be responsible for helping the sales team organize and prioritize repairs and reconditioning with vendors in preparation for sales.
