Description: This position requires an individual to coach, teach, mentor, and provide direct support to members who have Developmental Disabilities (i.e., autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, or epilepsy) ranging from mild to profound. The majority of services are designed to meet the personal needs of members in the group home setting. This position performs a variety of activities:Provide activities and programming that encourage the development of new skills and the maintenance of present skills.Works with members to teach or assist them in activities of daily living skills (bathing, toileting, dressing, mealtime/eating, attending day/work programs, etc.).Performs some housekeeping duties (e.g., dusting, clothes washing, dishes, mopping, disinfecting therapy equipment and wheelchairs). Prepares, cooks, sets up, and serves meals, as needed.Supports mealtime techniques and service in accordance with specialized diets.Implements the member's Person Centered Service Plan, including behavior support plan and therapeutic programs.Participates in team meetings and discussions to develop individual support plans for the members. Provides basic health care (e.g., medication administration).
