Description:
The client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Drupal Developer to join our development team. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining complex, high-traffic Drupal-based web applications and websites. This role requires a deep understanding of Drupal's architecture, best practices, and the ability to work across the full development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Drupal 8/9/10 websites and web applications. Develop custom Drupal modules and themes using PHP, Twig, and JavaScript. Integrate third-party APIs and services with Drupal, including CRMs, payment gateways, and authentication systems. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement technical requirements. Optimize website performance, security, and scalability. Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to setting coding standards and best practices. Manage deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Drupal core, modules, and integrations.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience in Drupal development (Drupal 8/9/10).
Expert-level proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
Strong understanding of Drupal's API, database architecture, caching layers, and security best practices.
Proven experience developing custom modules and themes from scratch.
Proficiency with front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and modern JavaScript (e.g., React or Vue experience is a plus).
Experience with Drush, Composer, and Git in a development workflow.
Familiarity with relational databases, particularly MySQL/MariaDB.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with headless/decoupled Drupal architectures (e.g., using Drupal as a backend with a modern JavaScript framework).
Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience in performance tuning and monitoring tools.
Active contributor to the Drupal open-source community (module maintainer, core patch submissions, etc.).
Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2).
