Description: Associate Electrical Engineer The purpose of this position is to support and sustain Instrument Manufacturing activities and facilitate efficient operations within the production environment. Assist in all aspects of electronic design, from the initial feasibility stage to manufacturing release for next generation diagnostic equipment. Provide technical skill in the areas of schematic design, analysis, debug, and PCB layout. Collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure the successful design, development, testing and implementation of both product and process changes in support of quality, obsolescence, design improvement, and cost reduction improvements. Optimize existing processes to ensure established production goals are achieved. Primary Duties Include:Resolve technical problems on the production floorSupport the non-conformity process to identify root cause of failures on parts and coordinate corrective measures.Identify quality issues and manage resolutions across multiple departments.Complete change management activities to introduce changes to the production floor.Define, review, and check production Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, assembly instructions, and test procedures for use on the production floor.Assist senior engineers in the definition, proof of concept, development, implementation and/or support of technical or business solutions.Works with internal department and project specific teams.Prioritizes activities within the scope of the assignments to ensure schedules or quality of work is successfully achieved.Identify issues and use problem solving tools to formulate the necessary activities to provide successful solutions.Ensure quality of deliverables by following the appropriate design practices and departmental procedures for design control. Knowledge, Experience & Skills Include:BS in Electrical Engineering with 1-2 years relevant work experience in PCBA troubleshooting and designExperience in the design and development of electronic systems with proven ability to design and troubleshoot electrical systems.Knowledge of project software (MS Office Suites – Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)Knowledge of electronic CAD systemsKnowledge of quality systems.Timeliness and quality of technical development activities.Quality and completeness of documentation.Development of personal autonomy and time management skills.Ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Problem-solving abilities. Degree:Min. BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering Additional Details:Help with non-conformity from production. Need to help with investigations. Need experience with EE, PCBA troubleshooting and design. Will be trained on machines, but need to be self-motivated to be trained and then go forward troubleshooting. Ay manufacturing experience is acceptable.Good communication skills, cross functional groups, purchasing supply chain and qualityGood writing skills, half of job is write up investigations and route for approvalAble explain technical items in a non-technical wayRe CAD programs.
