Job Description

Description:

Provide Electrical/Electronic engineering technical expertise, and ensure that device design concepts are based on sound design engineering principles utilizing the latest engineering tools/technologies.
Experience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools, and develop detailed design and interface specifications for software engineering and other teams.
Design, evaluate, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and components. Delivery and Device Research and Development.
Partner with manufacturing, contract developers, and quality to ensure robust design, testing, and design control deliverables.
Management updates to provide design-related opinions to support the integrity of device projects for internal Senior Management.
Writing technical reports, work instructions, change control documentation, and development plans.
BS/MS Electrical Engineering Degree.

Project Overview

As directed by the Electrical Engineering Manager, provide general electrical engineering support including, but not limited to: PCBA design and troubleshooting, cable harness design and assembly, EMC and safety testing, creation of technical specifications, documentation of technical investigations, verification and validation testing and other activities generally in the realm of electrical engineering as it pertains to medical device development.

Expectations

5+ years of experience in a related field, including performance consistent with said experience.

Use experience and education to perform the types of engineering activities which are generally considered within the realm of electrical engineering. This engineer is expected to work and communicate well with other team members and leadership as assigned to meet the goals of the project, department, and company.

Altium Designer

Schematic capture

PCB layout

Analog circuit design

Digital circuit design

Circuit simulation

Power supply design and analysis

Control systems

HDL, Verilog

Multi-layer PCBAs

High-speed design

Soldering, SMT assembly and rework

Circuit debug and troubleshooting

Sensors/transducers

Displays

DC motors and motor control

Cable harness design

Knowledge of C/C++/Python/LUA

Regulatory and compliance (CE, UL, FCC, RoHS, EMC/EMI)
