Description:EWS MigrationElectrification & AutomationThe Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future. As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building, assembling, and wiring of Medium and Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as LV MOTOR Control Centers, MV breakers, MV switchgear and MOTOR Control Centers, dc Electrical Vehicle Chargers and Solar Inverters.Roles & ResponsibilitiesAssembly and wire LV MCC breakers, structures, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts ordersPerform Sub assembly work including mechanical assembly of steel and components, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wiresRecord appropriate job record transactionsRead BOM, follow layouts & assembly drawings,Perform some basic wiring per given instructions when requestedSet and correct use of Torque wrenchesAdhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improveMust adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and othersPerform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or ManagementYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic QualificationsMust be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionallyCommunicate in English (read, write & speak fluently)Must have a proven record in Quality and ProductivityMust be a strong team playerConform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive to continual improve the intended outcomes of the Management System.Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED1+ years of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical fieldForklift driver experienceSAP experienceAble to Identify mechanical parts and electrical componentsExperience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operatedKnowledge of torque wrench and applied torque valuesExperience with using a tape measure and other measuring devicesNotes:Hours of the Shift : 3:00pm – 11:30pm M-F (2nd shift)This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
