Description:Electronics Technician 2About the roleAt client, we turn ideas into innovations that shape industries and improve lives in client's location we develop factory automation equipment, specifically the SIMATIC S7 1200 PLC.We're currently looking for an Electronics Technician to join our hands-on team supporting engineering, interfacing with manufacturing, and driving customer success.This is a unique opportunity to be part of a globally respected company, while contributing locally at a highly specialized site.What You’ll Be Doing:As an Electronics Technician, you’ll be troubleshooting and resolving complex electronics issues. Your role will span:Diagnosing and repairing faults in electronic assemblies using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)Performing soldering (both SMT and through-hole) and hands-on circuit repairsBuilding and maintaining custom test rigs, and ensuring test equipment is regularly calibratedAssisting engineers in research and development activities—prototyping, testing, and assembling electronics for new productsInvestigating returned products and supporting root cause analysis on customer issuesYou’ll work closely with a collaborative team of Technicians and Engineers with the chance to expand your skills across technical domains.What We’re Looking For:Minimum 2 years of experience in the electronics or related industryStrong understanding of electronics diagnostics, circuit testing, and fault findingCompetent with soldering, wiring, reading schematics, and building electronic assembliesProactive mindset with strong attention to detailComfortable using technical documentation and managing equipment recordsRequired Qualifications:Associates in electrical / electronics engineering.3-5 years of experience preferred.ADDITIONAL DETAILSWorking with test equipmentDiagnosing and repairingCreating test circuitsWiringTest rigs to test our unitsSurface mount soldering under microscopeWorking with database Team to complete development.It’s a typical tech position and will also be by engineers’ side doing hands on work.Notes:Hours of the Shift: 8am-5pm (40 hours / week)Remote/OnSite: On Site% of Travel needed: 0% VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
