Description:The Engineering Technician will operate radiation oncology machines following protocols and procedures for engineering tests. Additionally, they willKeep records of machine performanceUnderstand and recognize the need to escalate incidents when necessary and/or request additional assistance from more tenured representatives.Develop and maintain strong relationships within the team using strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:Candidate needs to pass Radiation and High Voltage Safety Training that will be providedFrequent use and application of technical documentation, standards, principles, concepts, and techniques in the field.Uses acquired job skills and company policies to complete assigned tasks.Sound knowledge of and professional technical experience with PC based systemsMinimum: HS Degree or EquivalentOther Desired Skills and Knowledge:Experience Level with Business Tools: Familiar with business tools such as E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Must-Have Skills:Ability to follow defined protocols.Proficient with PC.Proficient communication with team of Engineers and subject matter team members.Strong documentation skills.Nice-to-Have Skills:Proficient with MS Office, Excel, Outlook.Good record documentation.Medical Linux, radiation safety, high voltage safety.Additional Information:Working in a control room with software machine Engineering technician.Radiation safety, high voltage safety.Familiarity with medical linear accelerator is a plus.Must be able to pass extensive safety training.Radiation monitoring from the control room.Experience Required: Minimum 0-1 years.Notes:Part-timeMust work Onsite.Work Hours: Friday 11pm to 7:30am, Saturday 11pm to 7:30amThis is a part time role working Sat & Sun onsite, no remote.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
