Description:Engineering Technician II - Product Engineering Support (CA)Major PurposePerforms instrumented tests using existing procedures to verify that system performance meetsproduct specifications. Supports assigned product groups in product validation and verificationprocess as associated with production requirements. Provides problem identification andresolution, corrective action and tracking and reliability analysis. Provides input on test proceduresto engineers and support personnel as required.Major DutiesDesigns, schedules and performs field and/or lab tests to validate new product designs.Analyzes test data of moderate complexity, draws conclusions and summarizes reports.Develops programs for data acquisition.Collects and installs instrumentation for test.Compiles test reports that document procedures and communicates results and guidance todesign group.Assists in procedure and process documentation for various aspects of testing requirements.Assists in developing changes to product design for new programs or continuousimprovement projects.Gives work direction to test operators.
