Description:
The client works to build the capacity of schools to use information and technology, maintain network infrastructure,and security standards, and support other departments to meet district goals. The client provides innovative technology solutions that improve the quality of education for students, reduce the administrative burden on educators, facilitate parent interaction, increase community engagement, and support client’ mission of transparency by focusing on the ease and equity of access to information.
Job Summary:
The Enterprise AI Program Specialist will report to the Manager of Enterprise Generative AI. This role is central to the successful execution of the enterprise AI portfolio, ensuring that all logistical, communicative, and operational workstreams function efficiently. While the Design Specialist architects the user experience and the Engineers build the technical backend, the Program Specialist is the operational engine and lead communicator for the district’s AI initiatives.
The Program Specialist coordinates across multiple initiatives by providing logistical support to AI governance groups, managing program communications, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of key AI projects. This position is crucial for driving the adoption and success of AI initiatives throughout the district by working in close partnership with the Enterprise AI Design
Specialist and Cloud AI Solutions Engineers to ensure that new tools like skAI and the client ASSIST are successfully rolled out, supported by comprehensive training, and adopted by all users.
Principal Accountabilities:
Lead AI Literacy & Training: Design, implement, and continuously improve the district- wide AI literacy program, including AI University, badge pathways, and professional learning communities.
Strategize Foundational Learning: Coordinate and progress monitor foundational AI training across the district and external teams to ensure workforce readiness.
Manage External Partnerships: Cultivate and manage relationships with key external partners (e.g., higher education institutions, non-profits, grant consultants) to amplify AI innovation initiatives.
Governance & Logistical Support: Provide essential coordination for AI governance groups, assisting with scheduling, agenda preparation, and member management to ensure strategic alignment.
Lead Program Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for the AI program, managing the program inbox, maintaining the AI Guidebook, and developing updates (e.g., AI Corner SME updates) to promote initiatives.
Event & Content Coordination: Manage all AI-related events (e.g., Innovation Aisle), maintaining a master event calendar and providing full-cycle support from content development to post-event follow-up.
Operational Progress Monitoring: Oversee the day-to-day operations of key enterprise AI projects and pilots, tracking completion, mitigating risks, and preparing detailed executive updates for leadership.
Collaborative Execution: Work daily with the Enterprise AI Design Specialist to align training materials with product designs and with Cloud AI Solutions Engineers to communicate technical updates and user needs across the district.
In order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the Program Specialist must possess the following qualifications:
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
Experience Required:
A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in professional development or training is required.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a lead teacher in a K-12 classroom is required.
Experience working in a technology, education, or large enterprise environment.
Direct experience with technology-focused communications, training coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Certifications:
PMI Certified Professional in Managing AI (PMI-CPMAI)
Prosci Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
IAPP Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strategic Leadership: Skilled at fostering stakeholder buy-in and ensuring new technology initiatives are implemented smoothly.
Project Management: Strong skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously, creating systems/processes, and tracking progress while mitigating risks.
Administrative Excellence: Ability to design and execute high-volume administrative workflows for communication management and recognition programs (e.g., badging).
Expert Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills to create clear, concise content for diverse audiences.
Interpersonal Mastery: A "people person" with strong collaboration and facilitation skills to build relationships across a complex organizational structure.
Change Management: Knowledge of adult learning principles and Organizational Change Management (OCM) to drive the adoption of new technologies.
Analytical Reporting: Demonstrated ability to track program metrics and create clear progress reports for leadership.
