Job Description

Description of Major Duties and Deliverables

Enterprise Architect responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:
Manage and provide technical support for day-to-day system activities such as batch and automated processes that execute within the Oracle Financials system or external processes/interfaces that feed the Oracle Financials System (RAMS).
Receive a knowledge transfer from ITS technical staff for the Oracle Financials System (RAMS), including all processes, customized code, internal interfaces, etc.
Produce and enhance documentation for the system, including all inputs, outputs, process flows, modules customized code and interfaces, etc.
Work with ITS technical staff and OFM business subject matter experts to create test plans and test cases.
Perform first and second tier support and troubleshooting for reported issues.
Provide clear and consistent regular communication with all management, team members and customers.
Provide status reports.
Perform issue tracking, escalation and resolution.
Open tickets with Oracle as needed for issues, bugs and monitor for resolution or escalation.
Provide estimates for completing assigned tasks.
Review existing configurations, customizations, and processes and make recommendations for process and performance improvement.
Updating, modifying, and correcting problems in the customized code (shell scripts, perl scripts, PL/SQL scripts/code, forms, report code, etc.)
Perform analysis, design, programming and testing.
Produce deployment plans, including installation and configuration documentation.
Follow existing ITS procedures for production systems changes.
Perform research for new features or functions and provide detailed documentation of findings to ITS and OFM; such as but not limited to Electronic Billing in order to move to a paperless method for generating and retrieving invoices.
Make recommendations on how to design, develop and implement customer requested enhancements and new functionality,
Implement customizations, configurations and any new functionality necessary to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and operational capability of the system,
Obtain OFM and ITS approval for all enhancements and new functionality for the Oracle EBS suite, including customizations, configurations, and external processes/interfaces prior to commencing the changes or development work.

Mandatory Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
3 + years functional/technical consultant and technical development of Oracle EBS Financials including R12: please specify versions and number of years’ experience
5 + years knowledge and experience working with Accounting Business processes (Automated Accounting Systems, using General Ledger and Accounts Receivable)
Verbal and written communication skills
Oracle Diagnostic and iSetup skills
BR100 Report Generation and Interpretation skills
Experience with Oracle Relational Database Management Systems
Oracle PL
SQL skills (including but not limited to stored procedures and triggers)
Oracle Forms (versions 6i-11g) skills
Oracle Reports (versions 6i-11g) skills
Oracle BI/XML Publisher skills

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Oracle EBS R12 Financials Certification (Accounts Receivable and General Ledger)
Oracle SQL
Loader skills
Unix/Linux shell scripting skills
MS Access skills
Perl Scripting
OpenReports
Performance tuning
JAVA & J2EE
GJXDM or NIEM XML (national standards for XML)

The Enterprise Architect will report to the designated client supervisor. The Enterprise Architect is expected to perform the tasks and specific assignments given by the client supervisor.
