Description:

A hazardous material removal company based in client site, is seeking an experienced environmental project estimator. This position involves visiting job sites, developing a scope-of-work for each project, writing proposals, managing projects, and more. Experience in estimating environmental projects, fire and water restoration projects, or construction projects is necessary.

The estimator position involves:

 Visiting several project sites each day

 Meeting with potential residential and commercial clients

 Measuring work areas and determining the amount of labor, materials, permits, etc., that are necessary for a project.

 Complying with company policies and guidelines

 Using Xactimate software to create some estimates

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

 Knowledge of residential home and commercial building construction

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 Good project management skills

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Extensive customer service experience

 Solid competency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Candidates must have a good presentation, enjoy working with people, and be comfortable answering questions about their projects.

Candidates must own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
