Description: Event & FF&E Support (Furniture Fixtures & Equipment) EVENT Set-Up:Assists with set up and tear down of equipment and infrastructure which can include: tables, chairs, staging, stage skirting, signage etc. Assist with prepping areas prior to large rentals with signage, traffic cones etc.Will use schematics in most cases as a set up guide but will also get instructions verbally, through email or online work order system.Ensures timely completion of setups averaging 30 minutes ahead of schedule.Keeps storage spaces for inventory neat and organized at all times, keeps track of equipment, performs light repairs to equipment as needed, reports any missing or broken items to the manager. FF&E Support Duties & Project Work:Transporting furniture items to and from various locations, assembling, disassembling and repairing furniture, keeping shop areas clean and organized. Use best practices, while prepping product for moves, making sure all items are protected and securely fastened while in motion.Assist with clearing or organizing storage rooms and containers, assists with prepping surplus equipment to leave the campus. May assist with campus asset inventory and work from the receiving dock during peak times with deliveries. Additional Info:Experience operating any of the following preferred: Forklift, manlift, utility cart or large transport truck, dump truck etc. Computer experience and familiarity with online work order systems is a plus.Follow safety regulations and policies as specified by the client and OSHA regulations. Basic understanding of ADA compliance for access as well as fire egress for all.You will be expected to complete all training required as a new hire and annual training as it applies. Most training is online. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, preform repetitive motions for long periods of time, ability to work in extreme heat and dirty or dusty or different weather conditions.Reports directly to the Facilities Property & Materials Manager. Will receive additional or daily direction and or training from appointed leads. Typically, you can expect to work in teams of at least two but may have work orders that require independent work.
