Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer, supporting Forestry welding operations, you will engage with our workforce to overcome operational difficulties, and work with a cross functional team to execute continuous improvement projects and contribute to the overall client team.In addition, you will:Investigate, gather, and analyze data for identifying root cause of welding issues in departments you supportEstablish and maintain routings, pay standards, layouts, weld tooling, weldment costs, operator method sheets, and control plansIdentify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas for welding operationsWork with PDM, SAP, and Creo to perform engineering functionsWhat Skills You Need (Required Skills/Experiences)Experience or formal education in welding EngineeringAbility to effectively interact and communicate with union employees, peer Engineers and Supervisors.General understanding of Creo, AutoCAD or other modeling softwareKnowledge of engineering tools, systems, and databases (SAP, Kotem, etc.)What Makes You Stand Out (Desired Skills/Experiences)Work with labor standards within MPPlannerKnowledge of manufacturing weld processes, tooling, and facilitiesExperience programming and troubleshooting Fanuc robotics welding applicationsExperience with line and process design, material presentation, and line balancingExperience with Lincoln/Miller MIG welding equipmentExperience working with skilled trades and UAW contract knowledge?EducationBachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline with an emphasis on welding or similar field or equivalent work experienceNotes:1st shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM - OT hours may be requested by the clientMetatarsal safety boots needed
