Job Description


Description of Duties/Specifications

Identify duties, any special skills, knowledge, or certifications required; give enough background information so Contractor(s) can provide the most qualified applicant and recommend a better suited job classification if applicable.

1. Provide strategic capacity for community engagement work through client’s Parent and Caregiver Advisory Cabinet (PCAC) and client provider advisory group, and other engagements as needed.
a. Under the direction of client’s PIA, lead the organization of the client, including developing agendas, preparing client subject matter experts for their presentations, advisory member relationship management, and reporting action items and annual impact reports to client leaders and the public
b. Provide additional strategic capacity to the PCAC, specifically around parent survey development and planning of community convenings
c. Lead analysis and interpretation of qualitative data from PCAC survey and stakeholder virtual meetings
d. Support client team analysis of community engagement findings and data-informed strategic planning and communications
e. Serve as connection point between PCAC and the client advisory group, sharing best practices with program teams around engaging with parent and provider stakeholders

2. Analyze and provide recommendations for improving family-focused communications
a. Review current client web content and materials to understand the current state of the client’s family-focused communications
b. Identify short- and long-term recommendations, using best practices, to improve family-focused communications
c. Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on Preschool Development Grant (PDG) communications work focused on family-focused materials for special education, 4-year-old mixed delivery system, etc.
d. Serve as SME on PDG Child Care Finder enhancements project.

3. Participate in PDG Subject Matter virtual meetings to ensure grant progress
a. Share risks and roadblocks with grant leadership team, as needed
b. Provide monthly reports on activity progress
c. Complete relevant sections of federal reports

4. Provide support on other PDG initiatives
a. Early Learning Development Guidelines training development and community engagement
b. Other duties as assigned
