Description:
Facility Maintenance Technician
Duties:
Performs routine building maintenance tasks including but not limited to:
Drywall patching
Painting
Cubicle demo/install
Office furniture moves
Performs general facility and equipment support:
Light plumbing repairs (fixtures, leaks, drains)
Changing HVAC filters and basic HVAC upkeep
Load, unload, and stage truck deliveries
Monitor and pump out containment pads
Maintain, monitor, & inspect facility equipment (compressors, generators, etc.)
Supports maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of site operations:
Perform basic machine and equipment repair (mechanical components, belts, motors)
Assist with preventative maintenance on facility and test equipment
Perform general cleaning of site, work areas, shop floors, and equipment
Maintain 5S standards and safe/organized workspaces
Supports technical troubleshooting and operations:
Assist with troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Support repairs to facility infrastructure and prototype/test equipment
Identify issues and escalate complex repairs as needed
Perform general labor and support tasks across the facility
Required Skills:
Basic knowledge of:
Electrical systems (wiring, outlets, low-voltage systems)
Pneumatic systems (air lines, regulators, compressors)
Mechanical systems (motors, pumps, basic machine components)
Hydraulic systems (pumps, actuators)
Plumbing and carpentry
Ability to:
Perform minor repairs on building systems and equipment
Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Read and follow work instructions and safety procedures
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication and teamwork across teams
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
3+ years of facility maintenance or related experience
Experience with preventative maintenance and basic equipment repair preferred
Exposure to industrial or R&D environments is a plus
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Comfortable working around shop equipment, vehicles, and active operations
Notes:
First shift, 6:30-3:00, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
