Works with multiple sources of funding which may include donor or research restricted funds. Performs or coordinates several areas of financial accounting, recordkeeping, processing or administration. May conduct one or more of the following duties. Prepare budget for department, unit or school working with core or sponsored research funds usually utilizing information and assumptions provided by others. Review or reconcile accounts, transactions, or balances. Provide research and basic data analysis for use in financial planning and decision making. Prepare complex financial reports that may require selection, preparation, and interpretation of data using a complex data query tool and spreadsheet application. Generate entries to accounting and record keeping systems, and establish procedures for tracking and reporting. Process or assist with payments of vendor invoices, and individual reimbursements. Research accounting discrepancies. Associates degree in accounting or 3 to 5 years of experience required. Good written and oral communication skills. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with spreadsheet software required.The client is seeking a temporary finance and operations coordinator. The individual will report to the client’s Chair and Executive Director and will primarily be responsible for managing client’s finances.Position DescriptionPreparing quarterly financial statements for the Client Chair and Executive Director.Providing financial administrative support, including budget tracking/forecasting, tracking donations, processing expenses and payments, journaling, and applying school financial policies.Providing administrative support for grants and sponsored programming at the proposal, implementation, and post-grant stages.Providing administrative support for vendors and non-client personnel interfacing with required platforms (e.g., setting up suppliers in Buy2Pay).Additional client administrative tasks as assigned.Basic Qualifications?3 or more years of experience in office administration.Demonstrated experience in financial administration and budgeting.Additional QualificationsWe are looking for people who have:Ability to organize and prioritize, pay close attention to detail, and take initiative.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.Familiarity with relevant platforms (e.g., Concur, Buy2Pay) preferred.Familiarity with the client preferred.Notes:OnsiteEstimated 14 hours per week
