Job Description


Position Summary:
An individual who joins our team will be responsible for completing financial assessments for clients seeking to make pharmacy benefit plan changes. The team’s primary goal is to ensure proper financial controls and improve client level financial performance.

Duties
The Financial Change Sr. Analyst will…
Work under the guidance of Sr. Manager or Manager for evaluating potential financial impact of a plan design change
Coordinate with a variety of internal partners to thoroughly understand the requested change and client intent, and to subsequently calculate potential impacts to future utilization and earning ability
Use existing Excel model and SAS code to model projected rebate guarantee impact analysis
Perform quality checks and ad-hoc analyses in Excel and SQL
Provide consultative support to internal stakeholders on analysis including, but not limited to, Sales, Underwriting, Product, and Analytic Consulting Services

This individual will be responsible for articulating the strategy and results of their analyses in a clear, concise manner and meeting the expected deadlines of requested analysis
Support the development of new tools and processes via user acceptance testing

Experience:
Required Qualifications:
2 + years professional experience in data analytics, finance, pricing or process improvement role or equivalent combination of professional experience and education
OR
1+ years professional experience in data analytics, finance, pricing, or process improvement role including 1+ year working with PBM data or PBM financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analysis skills using Microsoft Excel and SQL
Attention to detail
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
High motivation to question, research, problem-solve, and document processes
Flexibility to pivot and quickly learn new concepts and processes to handle a constant flow of new products and strategies being developed across the organization
Ability to communicate cross-functionally to describe strategy and results in clear and respectful manner
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
Ability to interact with others in a collegial and professional manner and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing
Prior experience working across many different groups within an organization
Prior experience or knowledge of PBM industry or pharmaceuticals is preferred

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required
Degree related to finance, mathematics, operations, statistics, actuarial science, data science, economics or other data related fields preferred

Must Haves:
Strong Excel and MS Suite Skills
Problem solving ability with motivation to research nuanced questions
Detail orientated
Strong written communication skills

PBM Experience Strongly Preferred

Mon-Friday 8:00 to 5:00pm CST
Fully remote (never coming onsite)
