Job Description

Hybrid – typically 2 days/week onsite, may vary. Someone able to travel to Malvern, PA office.

Description:

  • The Shared Service Accounting organization provides Accounting and Reporting support and direction on various general ledgers and operating companies. The Accountant will work with the Manager to oversee accounting processes for Accounting and Reporting provided to all US companies. The Accountant will also work directly with the business on intermediate accounting activities such as month end closing process, account reconciliations, preparation of journal entries. They will provide support in accordance with the client Financial Reporting Guidelines and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). The candidate will analyze and maintain ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements, fiscal reports, and will ensure accurate and complete monthly reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Accounting support for the client organization using Oracle ERP system
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting for Oracle/ESPRIT/ADSTAR
  • Support month-end/Quarterly close process
  • Prepare/Review various account reconciliations
  • Apply accounting guidelines per International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Identify and suggest process improvements
  • Internal and external audit support as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • General ledger accounting
  • Journal entry preparation and reconciliation
  • Use of Oracle accounting system

Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced in closing and reporting of periodic financials
  • Proficiency in Oracle and in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Knowledge and experience in GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Display aptitude for critical thinking, ability to work under tight deadlines and in cross functional team

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
  • 5-7 year’s public/private Accounting

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong general accounting knowledge
  • Ability to work independently
  • Accurate note-taking
  • Willingness to continue training
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • PowerPoint, Excel

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Comfortable with various software
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years
