Description:SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:Migrate Oracle Spatial databased maintained through Geomedia to a SQL database maintained through ESRI Roads and Highways on-premise. This project will include the conversion of the database and a software upgrade.DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Produce digital/hard copy maps in advanced GIS/Mapping applicationsPerform GIS data collection, maintenance and analysisUpdate database tables to reflect changes to the GIS features used in GIS analysis and in mapping as assigned by the supervisor.Perform quality control on the new and existing data to maintain correctness and spatial accuracy standardsAssist in the development and maintenance of procedure manualsCompletes software/procedures research/testing as assigned by the managerPerforms related tasks as assigned by the manager.REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):Knowledge and experience working with GIS/Mapping software and applications, Experience working with a spatial database, Microsoft Office, experience with cartography, experience with database designPREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):Knowledge and experience with ArcGIS Pro, experience with a SQL database, Experience with ArcGIS roads and highways extensionREQUIRED EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree, Preferred field of study includes Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or Physical ScienceNotes:Role is fully onsiteVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
