Description:Job Summary:Support the client Programs relative to grant compliance, budget, and quality improvement efforts for early childhood education and facilitate collaborative relationships through a finance lens.Job Duties:Direct administrative activities of ECE grants and budgets including communication with procurement, accounting, personnel and payroll, and project managementPlan and review the fiscal portion of projects conducted by the ECE Unit including submission, review and processing of projects, grants, Inter-governmental Service Agreements (ISAs), and Inter-governmental Agreements (IGAs) for client assistance fundingDesigns and prepares comprehensive statistical, financial, and other reports for program accountability to funding agencies, state legislature, and other stakeholdersDirect oversight of client grant requirementsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):Knowledge in:Adult learning stylesFiscal management and budget preparationStandard accounting principals and procurementExperience in monitoring and evaluating for program fiscal effectivenessKnowledge of client grantsBachelor's degree in the finance or accounting fields or equivalent experience to substitute for the degree, is requiredMinimum of two years supporting finance or accounting operations in an educational or buisiness settingsSkills in:Communication skills, both verbal and writtenDecision making and problem solving skillsOrganizational skills including planning and prioritizingConducting researchAnalyzing dataUsing data to make programmatic and fiscal decisionsIntermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to:Identify a goal, create plans to achieve the goal, and ensure appropriate time andeffort are allocated to complete the projectMulti-taskWork as a member of a teamDevelop reports and written proceduresProvide attention to detailProvide high quality customer serviceProvide fiscal and data technical assistance and/or professional development toearly childhood education programsSupport staff with fiscal and grant activitiesSelective Preferences:Preference will be given to those applicants with:Post secondary education in accounting, finance, or organizational managementMinimum of 15 credit hours in accounting or financial managementExperience working in programs that support children and familiesRequirements:Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in finance/related field, or 2+ years of relevant work experience.Must be able to work with other departments to provide customer service and budget updates. Will also be required to work with external sub-grantees on these budget updates as well.MUST be skilled in excel/spreadsheets.Candidate will be supporting budget planning for client.
