Job Description


We are seeking a Grant Writer to support PCPH’s research efforts by identifying and pursuing funding opportunities with local and family foundations. This role reports to the Vice Chief of Research and will collaborate with faculty and program leads to:

Identify and evaluate local and family foundation funding opportunities
Develop compelling proposals that advance community-focused research
Coordinate proposal timelines and ensure high-quality submissions
Support faculty and research teams with grant strategy and preparation
Participate with principal investigator in the preparation of the administrative components of proposals within parameters of sponsored and nonsponsored research guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with IRB processes and grant writing at client is highly desirable
Master’s degree preferred
3+ years of experience in higher education or research environments
Experience writing and preparing grant proposals for federal, state, or foundation funding
Familiarity with the client research administration systems and offices, including RMG, OSR, SeRA, Cayuse Proposals, FFIT/My Projects, eCertification, OPACS, and Authority Manager
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate research concepts clearly
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration and communication skills with faculty and research teams
Ability to report progress and priorities to executive leadership

Requirements:
Years of experience are required:
Preferably Master’s with 3+ years direct experience as a grant writer

Top 3 requirements to hire:
Proven experience in grant proposal development and submission for federal, state, and foundation funding in higher education
Project management skills to coordinate multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously
Strong knowledge of research compliance, including IRB, NIH
