Job Description


Scope of the project:
IT Support of health care-related technology for the client. Support the Electronic Health Records System, Lab Information System, client system, Pharmacy Information System, and all related interfaces and health care technologies.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
Supports the implementation process, including build, testing, and go-live of healthcare applications and technologies, such as the EHR, lab, client system, pharmacy, and related systems, in conjunction with vendors, clinical, and technical support staff.
Assists with the maintenance of the health IT infrastructure, including applications, databases, templates, and reporting.
Help with troubleshooting, triage, escalation, and provide root cause analysis for EMR-related issues.
Helps create reports for management and users.
Helps document the current workflow process for medical and mental health care providers.

Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):
7+ Years of Experience with Electronic medical records (EMR), preferably NextGen
7+ Years of Experience with Mirth Lab Systems
7+ Years of Experience EMR Integration
7+ Years of Experience with Interoperability and Data Transfer
7+ Years of Experience with Healthcare IT Operations
Experience working directly for a State Government Agency

Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):
Experience with HL7 Messaging
Experience with FHIR

Required Education/Certifications: A bachelor's, degree in business administration, computer science,
mathematics, statistics, information science, health administration, biological science, or a related field, and experience in health services, project management, and information technology.

NextGen Connect Certificate
EHR Certificate
Practice Management Certificate
