Job Description:Working StudentThe client is seeking two motivated high school students to assist in deploying approximately 100 new computers across our factory and warehouse floor over the summer. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on IT experience in a professional environment.Responsibilities:Report to manager on progress and issues each day.Replace existing personal computers with new ones, and remove old ones for recyclingSet up and connect new computers, including monitors, keyboards, and other peripheralsInstall and configure Microsoft Windows and other software as neededEnsure proper connections to the network (training provided)Follow step-by-step instructions for installation and setupTroubleshoot basic setup issues with guidance from IT supportProvide basic assistance to employees transitioning to new computersMaintain an organized and clean workspaceOther duties as neededQualifications:Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and computer hardware setupAbility to hook up a new computer and peripherals correctlySome understanding of networks is helpful (training provided)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsGood work ethic and positive attitudeAbility to communicate effectively and ask for help when neededMust be reliable and punctual.Job requires lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, kneeling, and working extensively with your hands in a factory environment that is sometimes dusty.
