Description:Position Overview:We seek to hire a Train Service Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair trains with a focus on HVAC systems. Hours are day shift (including weekdays, weekends, and holidays) but can include 3rd or afternoon shift based on operational needs.What your day-to-day will look like:Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on the trainset’s HVAC systems. Including: Fault diagnostic, repair, solder and brazingPerform day-to-day running maintenance and unscheduled repair to a fleet of locomotives, coaches, and train sets via maintenance instructions from Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS),Follow all maintenance instructions (wherever available) to enforce to and maintain compliance and high-quality standards,Responsible for always keeping workstations and work areas clean and free of debris,Develop a working relationship with the Customer as an employee and representative of the client,Maintain compliance with all Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) related safety rules, laws, and regulations,Collaborate with the leadership as needed on all site issues, systems, and related facility operations,Willing to perform all other functions as needed, including forklift operations, daily cleaning operations, and others as needed.To thrive in this role, you have:High School Diploma/GED,Minimum of 3 years of working experience as an HVAC technician,Strong background in maintenance and repair of HVAC system,Technical education along with EPA 608/609Certification, experience with electrical systems.Setting you apart from others would be by demonstrating expertise in the HVAC industry by:NATE Certification: Recognized as a standard for HVAC excellence.HVAC Excellence Certification: Validates skills and knowledge in the HVAC field.HVAC Quality Installation Standard Certification: Ensures quality installation practices.OSHA10/30 Hour Certification: Focuses on workplace safetyVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
