Description:

Indirect Tax Sr. Analyst

Main Accountabilities

-Responsible for timely and efficient communications for areas of responsibility
- Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of amended sales and use tax returns

Areas of responsibility include:

Support timely and accurate preparation of state, and other jurisdictions’ indirect taxes including sales and use, filings
Gather data and support various aspects of state tax filings as needed
Responsible for continuous improvement in the efficiency of data gathering
Manage exemption certificates to ensure current and accurate
Other tax related tasks as requested

Changes in business models, accounting systems and organizational structures to comply with the client requirements


Knowledge, Skills and Experience
SAP knowledge a plus
Vertex knowledge a plus : Bachelor’s degree in tax/accounting/finance or related field
Strong Microsoft Office products skills, with emphasis on Excel
Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all types of people and disciplines, including colleagues
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and remain responsive.
Flexible working independently as well as in a team environment
Analytical/accounting and reconciliation skills
Sales tax experience (2-5 years preferred)



KEY NOTES:
-Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience with Indirect Taxes, amended sales tax, sales and use tax and filing.
-Experience with VERTEX and SAP preferred.
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in tax/accounting/finance or related field preferred.
- Pull supporting documentation, gather available exemption certificates, prepare and file amended sales and use tax returns,


Notes:
On-Site, (Possible Remote) Will depend on Training and performance evaluation from the manager.
