Position Overview


Looking for a LAN and WAN Infrastructure Analyst to work on implementing networking changes throughout the world enabling SNMP and OSPF and SWITCH configuration changes. Will also need experience with configuration and management of firewalls.

Major Purpose
Works on an Information Security team along with engineers to analyze and monitor the organization's Information security measures; and responds to actual penetration attempts by malicious hackers. This level operates with moderate autonomy on a team, with access to senior team members or Scrum Master when guidance is needed. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to support junior personnel. Has proficiency in one functional area of scope and may be developing proficiency in other areas. Requires some proficiency in the use of Information Security tools for analysis of Information Security events and data with some understanding of the interactions between access patterns and expected outcomes. Delivers the basic tasks and activities related to cyber security and is starting to get exposure to information security patterns with some complexity.

Major Duties
Develops and carry out information security plans and policies; implements and contribute to design of disaster recovery and contingency plans to protect company data.
Protects digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction; implements and/or provides input on required security measures such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
Maintains data and monitors security access; conducts internal and external security audits; manages network, intrusion detection and prevention systems.
Analyzes security breaches to determine their root cause; provides fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptly.

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge
Understanding of database administration, database design, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of network security/network administration.
Knowledge of operating systems environments and the respective security mechanisms that are administered.
Ability to follow processes and use security administration tools.
Knowledge of computer security policies and a general overall knowledge of computer security concepts.

Education
Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)

Work Experience
Experience working with applications, data, infrastructure, and/or IT security. (1 - 3 years)
General computer security or information technology (IT) auditing experience. (1 - 3 years)
Experience working in an Agile Environment (1 - 3 years)
