Job Description

As a contributor to this project, you will participate in a modernization effort that updates large Java code bases that interact with Spring, Tomcat, Geode, and third party binaries with a sharp focus on clearing identified security vulnerabilities.

You will:

• Understand the assigned tasks in the context of the existing SAS middle-tier platform code
• Research the secure technology and options to solve the problem
• Review your design and implementation with a team of developers
• Implement the changes into the existing large Java based applications
• Write unit tests for your changes as needed
• Deploy and verify your changes on multiple platforms and potentially different topologies

What we’re looking for (4+ years of experience)

• Strong java programming skills with experience working at scale
• Experience working with the Spring Framework
• Experience with open source library security and cybersecurity
• Strong Unix/Linux experience
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Groovy and ksh shell scripting
• You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.

The nice to haves

• Familiarity with SAS deployments
• Experience working in multiple OS environments including a variety of Windows and Unix based systems
• Familiarity with Web Services Architecture and Web App testing
