Job Description



Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of Lab Technician (Other Duties May Be Assigned)

Reproduce issues and help engineers debug issue(s) to root cause
Configure and operate associated test equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscope, protocol analyzers).
Assemble, configure, and maintain customer prototype platforms and the client systems under test
Create, follow, and improve setup and configuration documentation
Coordinate and assist the lab manager to organize site inventories, licensing, including drives, equipment, firmware/tools, etc.
Work with engineering teams to create standardized system configurations and retrofit to existing systems as needed.
Coordinate with engineering and lab staff to identify, track and deploy equipment as needed
Manage and track shipping requests, lab support tickets and prioritize the work part of lab deliverables
Qualifications

SKILLS:

Ability to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic environment based on engineering team needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skill sets. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written is required.
Strong interpersonal skills especially dealing with engineering customers
Required

Associate degree or better in engineering technology or equivalent work experience.
Ability to problem solve and debug electronics issues
Ability to solder SMT and fine-pitch components
5+ years related experience.
Familiarity with Server, Workstation and PC setup and configurations
Windows and Linux system administration and configuration.
Python scripting.
Prior work with SSDs, Networking, GFX or other appliances
Configuration and use of protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Background in hardware electronics and hardware troubleshooting.
