Description:Position to support system and hardware engineers with project coordination and hardware build activities for new and current products at client. Work will be focused on supporting the implementation of new products and updates on current production products in the Precision Technologies organization at client.Duties to include but not limited to the following:Ability to read harness prints and build or rework harnessesPerform harness and bracket fit-up on equipment and make recommendations on harness lay-out and bracket design based on resultsPerform electronic equipment fit up on machines to support engineering developmentCreate sketches and documentation of prototype harnesses and brackets based on engineering needsPurchase components for harnesses, electronic, and brackets to support prototype builds and other engineering needsKey skill Ability to modify electrical hardware (controllers, harnesses, and electrical mounting equipment) to support engineering builds/fit-upsManage experimental equipment inventoryAbility to perform PCB rework including through-hole and SMT components, hand assembly of small PCB’s for prototype activitiesEvaluate electronic hardware returns from the field as part of the warranty processBasic user of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)Ability to update and modify mechanical documentation (prints and models)Experience with 3D printingAutoCAD a plusSoldering background is a big plusNotes:OnsiteVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
