Description:

Goods receiving and glassware washing are essential functions for Assay Development at the client Site. The scope of this Lab Technician 1 role will be based on the need to cover responsibilities related to Goods Receiving for the operation and maintenance of a glassware cleaning room.


Lab Technician 1 Role:

The scope of this position is focused on support for the assay development R&D Labs.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Goods Receiving – 50%

SAP proficiency for goods receiving

Reverse and partial receipt

Block invoices

Tracking order and shipment status

Delivery of received materials to labs and offices

Updating colleagues regarding delays in receipt of deliveries


Glassware washing - 40%

Lab pickups of used glassware and cleaning of used glassware

Operation of two commercial glassware dishwashers

Operation of a drying oven

Operation of a steam sanitizer


Monitoring of general office and lab supplies and notification of buyers for supply replenishment – 10%


Required Skills:

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook)

Ideally, experience with SAP Receiving


Experience Requirements:

Prior experience in goods receiving within a manufacturing environment

Glassware washing is trainable


Preferred Soft Skills:

Strong communication skills for interacting with onsite personnel and those placing orders

Ability to multi-task effectively


Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Transferable Backgrounds:

Experience in warehouse environments such as Amazon or FedEx, where their responsibilities include receiving packages and distributing them. This worker will be distributing packages throughout the building.


Additional Information:

Candidate must be able to assess package conditions and determine appropriate next steps

Direct handling of sealed biohazardous materials

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

100% Onsite

Standard shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
